Essentials for the Bedroom

Essentials for the Bedroom

The bedroom is the room in the house that should be the most organized and quietest. It's where we spend most of our time, where we share a special moment with someone, where we enjoy a moment alone, where we rest, where we think of all our worries... It's a place of emotions and care.

To make your room a pleasant and relaxing space we have a list of functional elements that you will need, as well as a list of complementary elements depending on your tastes and preferences.

Are you ready to find out how to make your bedroom a more cozy space?

Functional Bedroom Checklist

Bed
Of course a bedroom would never be complete without a bed and a good mattress!
These are usually the central elements in our bedroom decor, but above all the most essential for a good rest.

Sheets
Besides the bed and the mattress, the right bedding greatly affects the quality of our sleep. And with the sheets it would be no different!

You should take into consideration the type of texture that is most comfortable for you and that makes you feel comfortable when in contact with your skin. Make sure that you choose the right size of sheets for your bed, so that the wrinkling of the sheets doesn't make you uncomfortable (add article link).

Coverlet or Duvet Covers

Coverlets and Duvet Covers are the necessary touch to keep you warm and cozy at night. With different colors, patterns and textures you can find different quilts and comforters (add link) on our website.

Pillows
In our article "How to use pillows to decorate your room" we already showed how much we are fans of pillows in bed, for everyday use but also as decoration. Pillows can never be missing in a bedroom, can they?

Read the whole article to understand how you can use pillows to your advantage when decorating your bedroom.

Bedside tables

Bedside tables should have the essential elements for a pre-sleep moment. You can have a book, plant, water, cream, or any other object that you consider pertinent and that will make your pre-sleep moment even more cozy and inviting.

Just don't let the drawer of your nightstand become a junk drawer as the day goes on, it will lead to a feeling of discontent.

Carpet

Sometimes we may even consider carpets to be mere decorative elements. However, their function goes far beyond that.

Can you imagine what it would be like to get up from the warmth of the bed and instead of placing your feet on a soft carpet, place them on a cold floor? It would be uncomfortable, wouldn't it?

Always lay a comfortable rug and make your day more enjoyable.

Don't forget that the material, texture and color of the rug should be in line with the rest of the room decor.

Bedroom Complementary Checklist

Books

A book is a great way to spend the last moments before going to bed. It will help you unwind and relax after a day's work. Books, when well organized, bring an elegant look to the bedroom or any other room.

If you like books we recommend you visit Wook or Better World Books.

Photographs
Photographs give the room an even more personal look.

If you like photos, we advise you to have several pictures of important moments and people, so that every time you see them you feel more motivated and energized.

Plants

Plants give a lighter air to any space. For those who like nature, we recommend choosing one or more plants to decorate the space, according to your personal taste.

Leave the cell phone out of the room
Increasingly rare are the moments disconnected from online, so it is so important to leave the phone and other electronic equipment in another room of the house when we go to sleep or, at least, keep them quiet and turned off.

As much as it may seem like a mission impossible at first, you will see that after trying it you will understand the advantages of enjoying your moment of rest without interruptions.

We hope that these suggestions will help you to have a more pleasant and welcoming space to welcome you every night!
